Hello! i’m Krissy

and my mission is to help you confidently make anything in the kitchen.

It all started with an UGLY loaf of bread…

For reals though… …not sure if I should call that bread?

So, basically, one day I decided to bake, and that same day… I decided I was done baking for good…

Never again! Not for me, not in my cards, I didn’t “have it.”

Until…

Years later, I had growing boys eating through lots of Great Harvest Whole Wheat Bread and I thought, I’m gonna go broke!

So, I dusted off my apron, put my fear about failure aside, and this time… didn’t give up. Through lots of tries and experimentation, I was finally proud of the beautiful bread loaf I pulled out of the oven.

It tasted and looked as good as it smelled, had just the right chew, held together and didn’t crumble. I was hooked.

Put to the test…

In 2013, my husband (Matt) opened a fine foods market with his Dad. Although Matt grew up in the food industry, (it’s in their blood – going back to 1946 with his great grandpa) they had never owned a bakery department.

I had very little experience working in commercial food but knew I had a few great recipes and a lot of grit and determination to help make it succeed.

It was a wild ride but this is where I built my foundation in creating recipes and learning techniques at a level way beyond what I ever thought was possible.

I built multiple programs for the store (including my own Krissy’s Cookie line) that have been successful for almost 10 years now!

Learning how to master baking or cooking can be frustrating and time consuming.

Things that are common knowledge to me now, were like a foreign language when starting out.

I just wanted someone to help show me the way. To teach me the things that I didn’t even know I needed to know.

This is the reason I am here and started Krissy’s Kitchen. I know how hard it can be to see a recipe online with beautiful pictures and then try to make it, just to realize it didn’t turn out at all like you thought.

I want you to have all the resources and info you need to succeed in whatever kitchen journey you go on. I want you to have the same confidence to try new things, create beautiful masterpieces and become the master in your kitchen.

And… although creating in the kitchen is my passion, my very favorite thing is teaching what I have learned, sharing all my tips and tricks and watching confidence grow.

After years of trial, error, and then, a lot of successes, I am sharing with you all I have learned over the many years of experience. The info I wish I had when first learning to bake.

I am so glad you are here! I hope you enjoy being here as much as I do! Cheers!
